Resolution 1137
RESOLUTION NO. 1137
WHEREAS, for the past several years the people of South County
have cooperated with the Santa Clara County United Fund Drive in coordina-
ting a South County United Fund Drive, and
WHEREAS, the intention of this program has been to consolidate all
local fund drives into one annual gift from local donees rather than
numerous separate fund drives throughout the year; and
WHEREAS, local residents, employers, and employees have joined to
make this a success during the past three (3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Norman B. Goodrich, Mayor of
the City of Gilroy do hereby proclaim the week of September 25, 1967, as
"UNITED FUND CAMPAIGN WEEK" and call upon all citizens of the South County
to generously support this loca United Fund Drive in an effort that it
shall be a continued success and support to our local charity organiza-
tions.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Gilroy at a
regular meeting held on the 21st day of August, 1967,by the following
