REOLUTION NO.
1141
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF CHARGES AND
DECLARING. POLICY OF THE CITY OF GILROY POLICE DEPARTMENT
AS TO CERTAIN SERVICES PERFORMED FOR INDIVIDUALS NOT
CONCERNED WITH THE ADMINISTRATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy has experienced an increase in the
number of requests for certain services for personal use and the number of such
requests is expected to continue to increase; and,
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara has requested a countywide
uniform charge for a certain service; and,
WHEREAS, there is an expenditure of time and material on the part
of the City of Gilroy in performing these services; and,
WHEREAS, there are existing charges for certain other services as
as specified by ordinance.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, and it is hereby ordered that a
fee of Two Dollars ($2.00) be collected by the Gilroy Police Department for the
taking of each set of fingerprints prepared for, or at the request of any person
other than
1. A person fingerprinted in connection with an areest or a
crime; or,
2. An applicant for City employment or for a City license or
permit where fingerprinting is required as one of the
conditions; or,
3. An employee or officer of the government of the United States
or the State of California, or of the Gilroy Unified School
District, or Gavilan College, when required in connection with
his employment; or
4. In connection with military service for the government of the
United States or the State of California; or,
5. In connection with immigration or naturalization.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, and it is hereby ordered that a fee of Two
Dollars and Fifty Cents ($2.50) be collected for a copy of a photograph taken by
the Police Department in the investigation of an incident and a fee of One Dollar
($1.00) be collected for each additional photograph requested at the same time
by any person other than any officer or employee of a public agency concerned in
the Administration of Criminal Justice.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. and it is hereby ordered that a fee of
Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($2.50) be collected for each accident report and a
fee of One Dollar ($1.00) per page for each one and two page report with a fee
of Fifty Cents ($0.50) for each additional page thereafter of any other police
report to be collected when the copy of a report is requested by a person other
than an officer or employee of a public agency concerned in the Administration
of Criminal Justice.
1. Nothing in the resolution shall prohibit any person who would
otherwise be allowed access to such report from viewing such
report at no expense to him.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, and it is hereby ordered that a fee of
Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) be collected from the alarm company for each terminal
used on the burglar alarm panel at the Gilroy Police Station.
This resolution will take effect and be in force upon its
adoption.
