RESOLUTION of THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY
RURAL FIRE PROTECTION D.Slf<'CT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION IIHECKER PASS-MOREY AVENUE ANNEXATION 66-1
TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 4th day of May, 1966, been
annexed to the City of G i 1 roy, under the des I gnat Ion of "HECKER PASS-MOREY
AVENUE ANNEXATION 66-1 TO THE CITY OF G IlROY" the fo 11 owi ng descr i bed proper ty
located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BE ING all of Lots 2 and 3 and a portion of Lot 4 as shown on IIMap of
a Subdivision of the lands of S. P. Fine in the Sol is Rancho", which
map is f i1 ed for Record In Bood IIF -2" of Maps at page 46 Records of
Santa Clara County, California, and being also all of lots 27, 28, 33,
and a portion of Lots 12, 18, 25, 26, and 29 as shown on "Map of Henry
Mi 11er' s Subdivl s Ion of Las An imas Ranch Lot 2311 wh I ch map I s filed
for Record in Book "H" of Maps at page 5, Records of Santa Clara
County, and being more particularly described as follows:
"BEGINNING at the intersection of Hecker Pass Highway
(shown as Bodfish Mill Road on said Maps) with the line
common to the Solis and Las Animas Ranchos (being also
the centerline of Morey Avenue or Anson Lane) and run-
ning dhence along the centerline of Hecker Pass Highway
S. 70 361 W. 24.91 feet to the intersection thereof with
the northerly prolongation of the line common to Lots 1
and 2 of saId S. P. Fine Subdivision; thence along said
common lot line S. 40 30' W. 2999.50 feet to the southerly
common corner thereof; thence along the southerly line
of lot 2 as shown on said Map S. 860 451 E. 395.34 feet
to the southerly common corner to lots 2 and 3 as shown
on saId Map; thence along the line common to lots 2 and
3 N. 40 301 E. 3046.35 feet to the intersection of said
Lot line prolonged with the centerline of the Hecker
Pass Highw~y; thence along the centerline of the Hecker
Pass Highway N. 880 451 E. 664.59 feet to the Intersection
thereof with the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of that certain 5.00 acre parcel of land conveyed
by LeonJdes Fine and E. R. Doyle by Deed recorded May 12,
1914 in Volume 413 of Deeds at page 558, said point of
Intersection being in the westerly line of IISouthwest
Annexat i on 65-111 to the City of G i1 ray as descr I bed
In Resolution No. 951 of the City Council of 68id City
adopted August 4, 1965; thence along said westerly
line N. 40 30' E. 33.17 feet to the northwesterly corner
of said Annexation in the northerly line of Hecker Pass
Highway; thence along the northerly line of the Hecker
Pass Highway and of said Annexation N. 880 451 E. 188.01 feet,
more or less, to the southeasterly corner of that certain
45.61 acre parcel of land described in the deed from
Harry G. Pappani and Katherine Pappani, his wife, to
Felix A. Pappani, et aI, recorded May 28, 1951 under
Recorder1s File No. 721722 in the Office of the Recorder
of Santa Clara County; thence along the easterly line
of said 45.61 acre parcel N. 40 591 E. 1632.26 feet to the
northeasterly corner thereof; thence along the northerly
line thereof and the westerly prolongation thereof
N. 890 061 W. 1222.15 feet, more or less, to the intersection
thereof with the line common to the Solis and Las Animas
Ranchos, being also the centerline of Morey Avenue; thence
along said last mentioned line S. 40 591 W. 1755.60 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 74.586 acres".
and
WHEREAS, &ald premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were, at the

at the time of such annexatIon, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy
Rural Fire Protection District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy desIres
that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore described
and so annexed to the City of G i1 roy as "HECKER PASS-MOREY AVENUE ANNEXAT ION
66-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same Is hereby withdrawn from said
Gilroy Rural Fire Protection District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of December, 1967, by the following
vote:
