RESOLUTION NO. 1176
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY
RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY
OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "RONAN AVENUE ANNEXATION 66-1 TO THE CITY OF
GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 6th day of June, 1966, been
annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of "RONAN AVENUE ANNEXA-
TION 66-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following described property located in
the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BEING a portion of the "Map of the North Gilroy Tract" as shown on
the map thereof ft1ed for Record in Book 'SWll of Maps at pages 14 and
15, Records of Santa Clara County, California, and being more particularly
described as follows:
"BEGINNING at the southwesterly corner of Lot 3 in Block 4
as shown on said Map and running thence along the southerly
line of said North Gilroy Tract N. 880 351 E. 464.46 feet to
the southwesterly corner of that certain parcel of land de-
scribed in the Deed to Elizabeth Williams recorded in Volume
981 at page 538, Official Records of Santa Clara County;
thence along the westerly line of said parcel N. 10 251 W.
100.00 feet to the northwesterly corner thereof in the center-
line of Ronan Avenue; thence along the centerline of Ronan
Avenue N. 880 351 E. 826.54 feet to the IntersectIon thereof
with the centerline of Lilly Avenue; thence along the center-
line of Lilly Avenue N. 130 291 W. 189.90 feet to the inter-
section thereof with the easterly prolongation of the line
common to Lots 1 and 4 In Block 3 as shown on said map;
thence along said prolongation and the northerly line of
Lots 1, 2, and 3 in Block 3 and Lots 1, 2, and 3 In Block
4 s. 880 351 W. 1251.30 feet to the northwesterly corner of
Lot 3 in Block 4 as shown on said Map; thence along the
westerly line of Lot 6 In Block 3 and the westerly line of
Lot 3 in Block 4 S. 1 251 E. 285.70 feet to the poInt of
beginning, and CONTAINING THEREIN 6.485 acres".
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were, at
the time of such annexation, Included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural
Fire Protection DistrIct. and the Council of the City of Gilroy desires that said
territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore de-
scr I bed and so annexed to the City of G t1 roy as IIRONAN AVENUE ANNEXATION NO. 66-1
TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of December, 1967, by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Allemand, Duffin, Kennedy Jr., Quartlroll,
Silva, Wentworth and Goodrich.

ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
