RESOLUTION NO. 1178
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CltV OF GI.LROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY
RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GI LROY UNDER THE DES I GNAT/ON "KERN-TATUM ANNEXATION 66-1 TO THE
CITY OF GI LROY'I.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 7th day of July, 1966,
been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of "KERN-TATUM
ANNEXATION 66-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following described property
located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BEING a portion of Lot 38 as shown on "Map of Jas. A. Clayton &
Co's. Subdivision of Las Animas Ranch Lot No. 31 and a Part of
Las Animas Ranch Lot No. 30", which map is fi led for record in
Book "V" of Maps at pages 1 and 2, Records of Santa Clara County,
California, and being more particularly described as follows:
"BEGINNING at the northeasterly corner of Lot 38 as shown on
said Mag, and running thence along the easterly line of lot
38 s. 4 261 E. 195.60 feet to the northeasterly corner of
that certain parcel of land conveyed to Joe Munoz, et ux, as
described in Deed recorded in Volume 5720 at Page 552, Official
Records of Santa Clara County; thence along the northerly line
of said Parcel S. 880 351 30" W. 389.20 feet to the intersection
thereof with the easterly line of Kern Avenue; thence along the
easterly line of Kern Avenue N. 10 24' 30" W. 204.08 feet to the
northerly line of Lot 38; thence along the northerly line of Lot
38 N. 890 541 30" E. 378.80 feet to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 1.759 acres in this annexation."
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at the
time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural
Fire Protection District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy desires
that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection
district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore
described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "KERN-TATUM ANNEXATION
66-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby withdrawn from said
Gilroy Rural Fire Protection District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of December, 1967, by the following
