RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
REQUESTING THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION TO PERMIT
AN OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE OF THE CITY OF GILROY TO
EXAMINE ALL OF THE SALES AND USE TAX RECORDS OF THE
BOARD OF EQUALIZATION TO SALES AND USE TAXES COLLECTED
FOR THE CITY OF GILROY I PURSUANT TO THE "BRADLEY-BURNS
UNIFORM LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX LAW"
WHEREAS, it is essential, in order to determine from time
to time, whether the City of Gilroy is receiving the amount of
sales tax and use tax under the Bradley-Burns Uniform Local
Sales and Use Tax Law, and that some of the records kept by the
State Board of E~ualization appertaining to sales and use tax
collected for the City of Gilroy under the said Bradley-Burns
Uniform Tax Law be examined by a duly authorized official of the
City of Gilroy and that the City Administrator of the City of
Gilroy is a proper person to be authorized to receive such
information,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a request be and the
same is hereby made to the STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION to permit
the City Administrator of the City of Gilroy to examine the sales
and use tax records of the said STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION per-
taining to sales and use taxes collected for the City of Gilroy
by the Board pursuant to the contract entered into between them
under the Bradley-Burns Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax Law and
that the said City Administrator is hereby appointed and authorized
to make such examination on behalf of the City of Bilroy and to
obtain such information as is required from said records, said
information when obtained to be used only for the purposes of
the collection of local sales and use taxes by the said Board,
pursuant to the contract.
