RESOLUTION NO. 1008
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GILROY ESTABLISHING A BASIC PAY PLAN,
WHICH SHALL BE APPLIED TO THE VARIOUS EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council does recognize the Personnel Commissions.
recommendation to set employees salary on a relatively competitive level with
other public and private agencies, and
WHEREAS, in order to establish this relatively competitive level it is
necessary to adopt a Basic Pay Plan with Ranges at two and a half percent (2t%)
increments, and,
WHEREAS, the Gilroy City Code, Section 17.9, sets forth that the Basic
Pay Plan will be set by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Basic Pay Plan, as 1 isted on
Exhibit A, which shall be attached hereto and become a part of this Resolution,
and shall be applied to the various employee classification.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall becomeeffective on
the 18th day of April, 1966.
