RESOLUTION NO. 1009
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ALLOCATING THE VARIOUS EMPLOYEE
CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE CITY SERVICE TO APPROPRIATE RANGES AS DETERMINED BY STUDY
OF THE PERSONNEL COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Personnel Commission, that the
prevail ing wage rates for publ ic and private employment in the area have risen;
and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to maintain city salaries on a
relatively competitive level with the salaries paid to public and private
employees in the area.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the several employee classifications
shall be appl ied to the appropirate ranges as 1 isted on EXHIBIT A~ which shall
be attached hereto and shall become a part of this Resolution. Said ranges
shall be the same as established in the Basic Pay Plan, as provided for in the
Gilroy City Code, Section 17.9 and Resolution No. 1008
BE IT FURTH~R RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall become effective on
