RESOLUTION NO. 903
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ALLOCATING THE VARIOUS EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS IN
THE CITY SERVICE TO APPROPRIATE RANGES AS DETERMINED
BY STUDY OF THE PERSONNEL COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Personnel Commission that the prevailing
wage rates for public and private employment in the area have risen; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to maintain City salaries on a
relatively competitive level with the salaries paid to public and private employees
in the area.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the following pay ranges be applied to
the several employee classifications in the City Service; said pay ranges represents
a ~Io increase to all ranges and an additional 5% increase to the following classi-
fications: Assistant City Administrator, Assistant Fire Chief, City Clerk, Director
of Public Works, Fire Chief, Fireman-Engineer, Police Clerk-Matron, Police Patrolman
and Police Sergeant; said increase is in accordance with the Basic Pay Plan,
Section 17.9 of the Gilroy City Code.
