RESOLUTION NO. -2lL
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY
AND THE CITY OF GILROY RELATING TO THE EXTENSION OF
SEVENTH STREET TO OLD GILROY STREET OR ROAD
WHEREAS, the city of Gilroy intends to relocate Old Gilroy
Road,crossing No. E-80.7, southward, to make a connection with
Seventh street as covered by the application of the City of
Gilroy, No. A-47244, to the Public Utilities Commission of the
state of California: and
WHEREAS, the relocation of said road requires the conveyance
from the SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY, a corporation, which owns the
aforesaid crossing area, to the city of Gilroy of the crossing
premises, as the same are described in the indenture, a copy of
which has been submitted to the City of Gilroy by the said SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY, dated the ~qf~ day of April, 1965, to which and
forming a part of the agreement is a map or plat showing the exact
location of the said seventh street extension to said Old Gilroy
street, which indenture and the map attached thereto are now
submitted to the City of Gilroy for approval and execution: and
vmEREAS, the said Council has examined the said agreement
and the said map and is familiar therewith,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Gilroy that it does hereby approve the said indenture hereinbefore
mentioned and does authorize the execution of said indenture on
behalf of the City of Gilroy by its Mayor.
