RESOLUTION NO. _!ill
RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT NO MAJORITY PROTEST HAS BEEN
MADE TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED IN THE
PROCEEDING3 AS "MONTEREY NORTHWEST ANNEXATION NO. 2 TO
'l'HE CITY OF GILROY"
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has initiated on
its own motion proceedings for the annexation to the said city
territory designated as "MONTEREY NORTffioJEST ANNEXATION NO. 2 TO
THE CITY OF GILROY" described in Resolution NO. 939 adopted by
the Council on the 21st day of June, 1965, in which Resolution
the 2nd day of August, 1965, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock, p.m.,
in the Cou ncil Chambers in the City Hall, NO. 10 south Rosanna
street, Gilroy, California, was fixed as the time and place for
the hearing required by law on the proposal to annex said property;
and
WHEREAS, notice required by said Resolution No. 939 and by
law of the said hearing has been given, and the said Council has
now held the said hearing in accordance with the said notice and
said Resolution No. 939, and no one appeared to protest against
the annexation of said territory and no protest of any kind was
filed or made against the said annexation;
NOW THEREFORE BE I'l' RESOLVED, and it is hereby found and
determined that no protest whatsoever was filed or made against
the said annexation, and the said Council does so declare.
PASSED AND ADOPTED immediately following -the hearing mentioned
in this Resolution, this 2nd day of August, 1965, by the following
vote:
