RESOLUTION NO. ~
RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT NO MAJORITY PROTEST HAS BEEN
MADE TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED IN THE
PROCEEDINGS AS "SOUTHWES'r ANNEY.ATIO~\J 65-1 TO 'rHE CITY
OF GILROY"
WHEREAS, a petition has heretofore Leen filed with the City
Clerk of the City of Gilroy for the annexation of territory therein
described as "Soutnwest Annexation 65-1 to the City of Gilroy"; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the~ity of Gilroy did heretofore and
on the 19th day of July, 1965, adopt Resolution No. 945 determining
that the said annexation petltion was signed by all of the owners
of property constituting the area proposed to be annexed, and
fixing Monday, the 2nd day of August, 1965, at the hour of 8 o'clock,
p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, NO. 10 South Rosanna
street, Gilroy, california, as the time and place for the hearing of
said petition; and
WHEREAS, notice of the said hearing has been given in accord-
ance with law, and the said Council has now held the said hearing
and no one appeared to protest against the annexation of the said
territory;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, and it is hereby ordered and
the Council does hereby find that no protests were filed or made
against the said annexation and the said Council does so declare.
PASSED AND ADOPTED immediately following the hearing mentioned
in the above Resolution, this 2nd day of August, 1965, by the
following vote:
