RESOLUTION NO. 970
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH ASSOCIATION OF BAY AREA GOVERNMENTS RELATING TO THE PRESERVA-
TION OF OPEN-SPACE LAND IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the said City Council for
execution a proposed Agreement between the Association of Bay Area Govern-
ments and the City of Gilroy for the preservation of open-space land in the
San Francisco Bay Area in accordance with the provisions of Title I, Divi-
sion 7, Chapter 5 of the Government Code of the State of Cal ifornia; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the said Agreement and bel ieves
it to be for the best interest of the City of Gilroy that the City approve
sa i d Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy execute
the said Agreement and that the same be signed on behalf of the City by the
