RESOLUTION NO. 973
RESOLUTION URGING GRANT OF CERTIFICATE TO PACIFIC
SOUTHWEST AIRLINES.
WHEREAS, Pacific Southwest Airlines will on October 20, 1965 file
an appl ication with the Public Util ities Commission of the State of Calif-
ornia for a certificate of convenience and necessity in connection with
its proposed operation of fl ights between San Jose and Los Angeles, and
WHEREAS, the operation of Pacific Southwest Airl ines, as described
in its appl ication, will be of substantial benefit to the citizens of
Gilroy and Santa Clara County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY: that the appl ication of Pacific Southwest Airl ines be endorsed,
that the Publ ic Util ities Commission of the State of Cal ifornia be so
notified and that said Commission be urged to grant a certificate of con-
venience and necessity in order that the proposed service may be made
available to the citizens of the City of Gilroy and County of Santa Clara.
