RESOLUTION NOo 826
RESOLUTION BY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ENDORSING AND URGING THE ELECTORATE
TO SUPPORT MEASURE "C" OF COUNTY BOND ELECTION ON JUNE 2, 19640
WHEREAS Santa Clara County is one of the World1s greatest aero-
space complexes, yet its present small airport facilities are judged inadequate
by competent authorities and,
WHEREAS, South Santa Clara County will become more dependent upon
improved airport facil ities to serve the area1s future industrial, commercial
and residential growth, and
WHEREAS, the County Bond Election on June 2, 1964, will provide
funds to acquire an airport site in the South County to be developed as the
future needs,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Gilroy does hereby endorse Measure "C" to provide $2,115,000.00 for the
development of County airport facil ities and urges all qual ified County voters
to go to the polls on June 2, 1964 and to vote favorable upon the issuance of
bonds under Measure "C".
