RESOLUTION NO. 838
OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT
PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1
PROJECT NO. 64-1
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Gilroy;
California, that
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of June, 1964, said Council
adopted its Resolution No. ~____ of Preliminary Determination
and of Intention to acquire and improve off-street parking places,
and all work auxiliary thereto, in and for said City, and did
refer the proposed acquisitions and improvements to the City
Engineer of said City, he being the officer having charge and
control of the construction of public improvements in and for
said City of the kind described therein, and being a competent
person employed by said City for that purpose, and did therein
direct said City Engineer to make and file with the City Clerk
a report in writing, all as therein more particularly describen,
under and pursuant to Articles 1 and 4; Chapter 5 of the Gilroy
Improvement Procedure Code, as amended;
WHEREAS, said City Engineer has made and filed with the
City Clerk a report in writing as called for in said Resolution
of Preliminary Determination and of Intention, and under and
pursuant to said Code, which report has been presented to this
Council for consideration; and
WHEREAS, this Council has duly considered said report and
each and every part thereof, and finds that the same and each and
every part thereof, is and are sufficient and that neither said
report nor any part thereof requires modification in any respc:'
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That the plans and specifications for the proposed
improvements to be made, contained in said report, be, and they
are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed;

2. That the maps and descriptions of off-street parking
sites to be acquired, as contained in said report, be, and the
same are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed.
3. That the Engineer's estimate of the total estimated
costs and expenses of said improvements and of the incidental
expenses in connection therewith, contained in said report, be,
and it is hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed.
4. That the map having delineated thereon the boundaries
of the assessment district and parking maintenance district, as
described in said Resolution of Preliminary Determination and of
Intention and as contained in said report, be, and it is hereby,
preliminarily approved and confirmed.
5. That said report in its entirety be, and it is hereby,
preliminarily approved and confirmed.
6. That said report shall stand as the City Engineer's
report for the purposes of all subsequent proceedings had pur-
suant to said Resolution of Preliminary Determination and of
Intention.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the City Council of the City of
Gilroy, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of June, 1964, by the following vote of the members thereof:
