RESOLUTION NO. 843
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ADOPTING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR THAT PART OF
UVAS PARKWA.Y BETWEEN THOMAS ROAD AT MONTEREY
HIGHWAY TO A PROPOSED EXTENSION OF SANTA TERESA
BOULEVARD
WHEREASr the Council of the City of Gilroy has heretofore
referred to the Planning Commission of said City the matter of
establishing official plan lines for Uvas Parkway; and
WHEREASr the said Planning Commission has held public
hearings upon the said proposal, after having given due and
legal notice thereof, and has made its report, which is now
on file in the office of the City Clerk, in which it recommends
that official plan lines for that portion of said Uvas Parkway
between Thomas Road at Monterey Highway and the proposed
extension of Santa Teresa Boulevard be established at this
time and that the plan lines for the remaining portion of Uvas
Parkway be considered at a future date; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that a hearing be held before
the Council upon the said report of said Planning Commission
and the Council did~ at its meeting regularly held on the 15th
day of June, 1964, fix the 6th day of July, 1964/ at the hour
of 8 otclock, p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at
No. 10 South Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, as the time and
place for hearing the said report of the said Planning Commission;
and
WHEREASr the said hearing has now been held pursuant to said
notice and the Council has heard such objections against and
arguments in favor of} the establishing of said official plan
lines and has determined that it is in the public interest that said
official plan lines be adopted without delay;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the city of
Gilr~y that the said plan lines as set forth in the report and
plat prepared by the City Engineer, designated as "Official
Plan Lines for Uvas Parkway from Thomas Road at Monterey Highway

to the Proposed Extension of Santa Teresa Boulevard~', now on
file in the office of Clerk of the City of Gilroy! be and the
same are hereby adopted as the official plan lines for the
said portion of said Uvas Parkway.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July, 1964, by the
following vote:
