RESOLUTION NO. 865
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GilROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE
GilROY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXEO
TO THE CITY OF GilROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "NINTH WESTERN ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF GILROY"
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the Gth day of September, 1964,
been annexed to the City of G i I roy, under the des i gna t i on of "N I NTH WESTERN
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GilROY", the following described property located
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
BEING a portion of Las Animas Ranch lot No. 16 as shown
on Map No.7 accompanying the report of the Referees in
the Las Animas Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536 had
in the Superior Court of the State of California in and
for the County of Santa Clara, and being more particularly
described as follows:
"BEGINNING at the intersection of the northerly line of
the lands of Fenton O'Connell as described in the deed from
Samuel Hamburger, Inc., recorded April 10, 1958, in Volume
4048 of Official Records at Page 683, Records of Santa Clara
County, with the westerly line of Miller Avenue and running
thence along said westerly line S. 00 521 W. 729.00 feet;
thence N. 890 08' w. 400.00 feet; thence N. 00 52' E. 729.00
feet to a point in the northerly line of lands of Fenton
O'Connell; thence along said northerly line, S. 890 08' E.
400.00 feet to the point of beginning, and CONTAINING THEREIN
6.694 acres of land.";
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were, at the
time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy Rural
Fire Protection District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy desires
that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection
district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore
described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as lININTH WESTERN ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be, and the same is hereby withdrawn from said
Gi troy Rural Fire Protection District.
