Resolution 866 AI RESOLUTION NO. 866 WHEREAS. Santa Clara County. through its 701 Planning and Research Program, has produced valuable information about land develop- ment in both incorporated and unincorporated areas, and WHEREAS, there is a need for continuous and better coordination of planning and zoning for the orderly development of each City and the County, and WHEREAS, the Inter City Council of Santa Clara County, on March 5, 1964, resolved that there should be an interim committee to review the 701 Program information, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy grants this Inter City Council the right and power to set up an Interim Committee composed of: 1. The mayors of the cities in the county or their own council-appointed alternates; 2. A member of the Board of Supervisors; 3. A technical advisor from each city appointed by the mayor of each city and a technical advisor appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for the avowed purpose to compile, study, and evaluate the information received from Santa Clara County's 701 Program and to make general recommendations on planning and zoning to the various City Councils and to the Board, in a sincere effort to coordinate better the orderly de- velopment of each member city and of the county.
