RESOLUTION NO. 868
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION IV E
OF RESOLUT[ON NO. 771 ENT[TLED "PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS."
WHEREAS, the City Council on the evening of September 8, 1964,
discussed the merits and equity of establ ishing a maximum amount of a
fifty (50) dollar expenditure for the purchase of gifts for retiring City
employees and requested the Personnel Commissions' recommendation in
regard to this proposal, and;
WHEREAS, the Personnel Commission did on September 17, 1964
review said request and concur with the Councils' proposal;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that a paragraph be added to
Section IV E of Resolution 771 entitled "Personnel Rules and Regulations"
as follows, "Employees retiring under these provisions, or other conditions
approved by the City Council, may be presented with an appropriate gift
which shall not have a purchase price in excess of fifty (50) dollars;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that said amendment shall become
effective immediately.
