RESOLUTION NO. 870
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM RATE SCHEDULE TO BE
CHARGED BY AMBULANCE OPERATORS WITHIN THE CITY
OF GILROY
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has heretofore
adopted Ordinance No. 727, licensing and regulating the operators
of private ambulances, Section 24 of which Ordinance provides
that the Council shall establish and keep on file with the City
Clerk a maximum rate schedule which may be charged by ambulance
operators licensed under said ordinance within the City of Gilroy
and that said rates shall be established by a Resolution; and
WHEREASt the City Council has duly considered the rates
to be charged and has determined and does hereby fix as the
reasonable maximum rates to be charged by the said ambulance
operators the following:
Basic Charge:
Per stretcher patient. . . . $22.50
Per sitting patient, if
only patient in vehicle. . 22.50
Per sitting patient, if
second or additional patient
in vehicle . .. ..... 11.25
Additional Charges:
Night charge (between hours
of 6:00 pm and 8:00 am). . . . . 2.50
Oxygen (Per cylinder). . . . . . . 6.00
(Or fraction thereof)
Resuscitation . . . . . . . . . . 6.00
Decontamination . . . . . . . 5.00
(Co~~unicable disease patients)
Waiting timel per hour. . . . . . 15.00
(First 15 minutes free)
A~bulance refused or not
needed upon arrival. . . . . . . 22.50
Train, plane or boat loading

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the above schedule of
rates be and the same is hereby adopted as the official charges
to be made by the operators of ambulances in the City of Gilroy
until such time as this schedule may be changed by resolution of
the Council.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of said rate schedule
shall be posted in a conspicuous place in each ambulance and shall
also be posted in the premises where said ambulances are stationed.
