RESOLUTION NO. 874
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF
SANTA CIARA FOR ESTABLISHMENT AND IMPLEMENTAT ION
OF SANTA CIARA VALLEY LIBRARY SYSTEM

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the said/Council for
execution a proposed agreement between the County of Santa Clara
and the City of Gilroy for the establishment and implementation
of the Santa Clara Valley Library System in accordance with the
provisions of Article 5, Chapter 1.5 of Division 20 of the California
Education Code under the name of Santa Clara Valley Library System;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the said proposed agree-
ment and believes it to be for the best interests of the City of
Gilroy that the City enter into the said agreement~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy execute
the said agreement and that the same be signed on behalf of the
City by the Mayor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of December, 1964, by the
following vote:
