RESOLUTION NO. 733
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING
THE CONVEYANCE OF PREMISES TO CARL PRICE AND LOUISE PRICE,
HIS WIFE, FORMERLY A PORTION OF WELBURN AVENUE WHICH HAVE
BEEN ABANDONED AND VACATED BY ACTION OF THE COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the following described premises heretofore consti-
tuted a portion of Welburn Avenue, a public street, in the City
of Gilroy; to wit:
BEING a portion of Welburn Avenue as shown on map
entitled "Tract No. 1784, Sherwood Park, Unit No. I", which map
is recorded in Book 71 of Maps at pages 28 and 29, Records of
Santa Clara County, California, and being more particularly
described as follwws:
"BEGINNING at a point in the northwesterly line of
Welburn Avenue as shown on said map, distant thereon
S. 700 W. 52.14 feet from the intersection thereof
with the southwesterly line of Doris Court, and
running thence along the southerly line of Lots 63
and 64 along a curve to the right with a radius of
100.00 feet and a central angle of 20045', for a
distance of 36.22 feet~ thence N. 890 IS' W. 120.69
feet~ thence along a curve to the right with a radius
of 20.00 feet and a central angle of 770 00', for a
distance of 23.39 feet to a point in the northeasterly
line of Wayland Lane~ thence alongia projection of the
northeasterly line of Wayland Lane as shown on said
map S. 220 IS' E. 42.99 feet~ thence along a curve
to the left with a radius of 20.00 feet and a central
angle of 920 15', for a distance of 32.20 feet to a
point in the projected southeasterly line of Welburn
Avenue as shown on said map~ thence along said
southeasterly line N. 700 E. 137.76 feet to the
point of beginning ~ "
and,
WHEREAS, said premises have been duly abandoned and vacated
by action of the Council of the City of Gilroy as being unnecessary
and of no value to the City of Gilroy as a street~ and,
WHEREAS, the said premises have been heretofore ordered sold
by resolution of the Council to the highest and,'best bidder and
have been duly advertised for sale in accordance with the said
resolution and the best bid offered for the said premises was the
sum of $51.00 which was offered by CARL PRICE and LOUISE PRICE, his
wife, and the said bid should be accepted and a conveyance of the
premises executed on behalf of the City of Gilroy to the said bidders.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Gilroy be and he is hereby authorized to execute a conveyance of
the said premises hereinbefore described to the said CARL PRICE
and LOUISE PRICE, his wife, upon the payment to the City of Gilroy
the sum of $51.00.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 4th day of February, 1963, by the
