RESOLUTION NO. 738
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY GRANTING
AN OWNERS PERMIT TO ROBERT A. SILVA TO OPERATE THE GILROY
TAXICAB COMPANY, THE J. & M. TAXICAB COMPANY AND THE YELLOW
CAB COMPANY IN GILROY.
WHEREAS, Robert Ao Silva has made application for a Taxicab Owners
Permit to operate the Gi]roy Taxicab Company, the J. & Mo Taxicab Company,
and the Yellow Cab Company in Gilroy, and
WHEREAS, said application is in proper form and sets forth the
information required in Section 23.19 of the Gi]roy City Code, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has determined that
the proposed taxicab operation is presently adequate to the City's need
for such service and that there is sufficient public need for such taxicab
operations as set forth in the appl ication, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the applicant is of good
moral character.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of
Gilroy hereby approves the application and hereby grants Robert A. Silva
an owners permit to operate the taxicab companies and the three taxicabs
as named above, subject to al] City of Gilroy Code regulations pertaining
to taxicabs and other vehicles for hire.
PASSED AND ADOPlED this 4th day of March, ]963, by the following
