RESOLUTION NO. 752
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AMENDING THE DRAINAGE ELEMENT OF THE MASTER PLAN
BY ESTABLISHING A FIFTH DRAINAGE ELEMENT TO BE
KNOWN AS DRAINAGE ELEMENT ZONE "E"
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy, upon the
recommendation of the City Engineer, has heretofore proposed
that the drainage element of the Master Plan of the City of
Gilroy be amended or modified by adding to the four drainage
element zones heretofore established a fifth zone to be known
as Zone "E" to comprise the following described premises
located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California,
to-wit:
Lots 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 as shown on the map entitled
"Map of a subdivision of the Lands of S. P. Fine in
the Solis Rancho, Santa Clara County, State of California,"
which is recorded in Book "F-2" of Maps at Page 46,
records of Santa Clara County, and containing 146.43
acres;
and
WHEREAS the said Council has referred the said proposal
to the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy for hearing
and consideration, in accordance with the Government code and
the said Planning Commission has heretofore fixed Thursday, the
4th day of April, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. at
the Council Chambers in the City Hall, No. 10 South Rosanna
Street, Gilroy, California, as the time and place for the
hearing of the proposal to modify or change the drainage element
of the Master Plan and notice of the said hearing has been given
as required by the Government code and the ordinances of the
City of Gilroy; and

WHEREAS the said Planning Commission held the said hearing
above-mentioned at the time and place fixed and has considered
the advisability of amending the said drainage element of the
Master Plan by establishing said Fifth Zone and has reported
to the Council upon said proposal, in which report said
Commission recommends that said proposal be adopted; and
WHEREAS the Council did heretofore on the 16th day of
April, 1963, upon receiving the said report from the Planning
Commission duly fix Monday, the 6th day of May, 1963, at the
hour of 8 otclock P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City
Hall, No. 10 South Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, as the
time and place for hearing the said report of the said Planning
Commission and the proposal for the amendment of the said Master
Plan; and
WHEREAS the said Council, at its regular session held on
the 6th day of MaYI 1963, at the place aforesaid, did duly
consider the said recommendation of the Planning Commission
and did determine that the proposal to amend the said drainage
element of the Master Plan should be adopted as being in the
public interest;
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved and it is hereby ordered that
the said drainage element of the Master Plan of the City of Gilroy
be amended by adding thereto a new zone to be known as Zone "E",
to comprise the territory hereinbefore specifically described and
that the maps of the Master Plan be changed accordingly.
