RESOLUTION NO. 754
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY APPROVING
ACTION OF PLANNING COMMISSION AUTHORIZING GRANTING OF A
VARIANCE TO STUART FLETCHER FROM THE II S" ZONE REQUIREMENTS
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT USE OF PREMISES AT NO. 70
S. RAILROAD STREET FOR A BOOKKEEPING SERVICE BUSINESS.
WHEREAS, stuart Fletcher has heretofore applied to the City
of Gilroy for a variance under the zoning ordinance of the City of
Gilroy which will permit him to use the premises at No. 70 S.
Railroad Street, Gilroy, California, for a bookkeeping service
business without providing the parking facilities required by the
"s" Zone regulations of the Zoning Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a hearing upon the
said application, after giving notice thereof as required by the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy and the Government Code
and has duly considered the said application and made its report
to the Council, in which it finds that said variance may be granted
without injury or detriment to the public health, safety, comfort,
convenience and general welfare of the neighborhood in which the
aforesaid premises are located or of the people of the City of
Gilroy, and that the business to be conducted on the said premises
does not need special parking facilities contemplated by the "s"
Zone regulations and recommends that said permit be granted; and,
WHEREAS, the said decision, report and recommendation of the
said Planning Commission has been referred to the Council and the
Council having duly considered and having determined that the action
of the Planning Commission should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERaD, that
the said report and decision of the said Planning Commission of the
City of Gilroy authorizing the granting of the said variance, be
