RESOLUTION NO. 776
RESOLUTION OF COUNCIL FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF THE
PUBLIC HEARING UPON THE REPORT OF THE PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF AN ENTIRELY
NEW ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF GILROY
WHEREASg the Council of the City of Gilroy has heretofore
proposed the adoption of an entirely new zoning ordinance for
the said City to take the place of the present zoning ordinance
and has secured the services of an experienced city planning
specialist to prepare the proposed new zoning ordinanceg and
the said proposed new zoning ordinance has been drawn up and
prepared by the said specialistg and has been considered by the
Planning Commission informally and changes made, as thought
advisable, and then the proposed ordinanceg as revisedg has
been completed and submitted to the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS the said Planning Commission didg on the 11th
day of July, 1963, hold a public hearing upon the proposal to
adopt the said new zoning ordinanceg prepared as aforesaid,
and notice of said hearing was given as required by law; and
WHEREAS, at the said hearing no one appeared to object
to or oppose the adoption of the said proposed ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commissiong having duly considered
the said ordinance and having determined that the said ordinance
should be adopted in the place of the present zoning ordinanceg
and having made its report to the Council of the said City
in which it recommends the adoption of said ordinance as proposed;
and
WHEREAS, the law requires the Council of the said City to
hold a public hearing upon the report of the said Planning
Commission and its recommendation that the said proposed ordinance
be adopted;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED

California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and
place for the public hearing upon the said report and recommenda-
tion of the said Planning Commission that the said new zoning
ordinance be adopted, and that notice of the said hearing be
given in accordance with law.
