WHEREAS, there has been introduced at this regular session
of the Council of the City of Gilroy and the title thereof read,
a proposed Ordinance entitled as follows: "An Ordinance of the
City of Gilroy ,Providing for the Establishment Within said City
of Certain Districts Within Which the Classes of Buildings and
structures and the Uses Thereof are Limited and in Which Certain
Yards and Other Open Spaces are Required and Certain Other Regu-
lations are Applied~ Defining the Terms Used Herein~ Providing
for the Granting of Adjustments in the Application of any of the
Provisions Hereof~ Prescribing the Procedure for the Administra-
tion and Amendment Hereof~ Prescribing Penalties and Remedies for
any Violation of the Provisions Hereof~ Repealing Ordinance No.
422 and Amendments Thereof and all Other Ordinances and Parts of
Ordinances in Conflict Herewith~ Adopting by Reference the
Following Enumerated Standards and Codes for Control and Regulation
of Noise, Smoke, Odors and Emissions Related Thereto: (a..)"American

WHEREAS, the reading of the Ordinance was waived by an
unanimous vote of the CounCil Members present at the meeting;
and
WHEREAS, the said Ordinance as proposed, adopts by reference
the three Codes of Standards described in the title, as above
set forth; and
WHEREAS, the law requires that before the said proposed Zoning
Ordinance may be adopted by the Council that a public hearing be
held before the Council and that notice of said hearings be
given in accordance with Section 6066 of the Government Code;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Monday the 16th day of
September, 1963, at the hour of 8 olclock p.m., in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall at No. 10 S. Rosanna Street, Gilroy,
California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place
for the public hearing upon the adoption of the proposed Zoning
Ordinance and upon the said three Codes and Standards to be
acopted by reference;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of the said hearings be
given in accordance with Section 50022.3 of the Government Code
and Section 6066 of said Government Code.
