RESOLUT ION NO. 681
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A SMALL PARCEL
OF ~ CONSTITUTING A PORTION OF WAYLAND LANE,A
PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the following described premises constitute a
por.tion of Wayland Lane a public street in the City of Gilroy I
to wit:
BEING a portion of Wayland Lane as shown upon that certain Map
entitledl "Map of Loupe et all Northern Addition to the City of
Gilroy II , which Map was filed for recording in the Office of the
Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California I on
June 5, 1888 in Book D of Maps at Page 5, and more particularly
described as follows:
"BEGINNING at a point in the northeasterly line of
Wayland Lane, distant thereon N. 220 15' W. 10.87 feet
from the most southerly point thereof at the inter-
section with the northeasterly line of Hecker Pass
Highway (Bodfish Mill Road) as shown on said Map, and
running thence along the northeasterly line of Way-
land Lane, N. 220 15' W. 109.34 feeti thence along
a curve to the right from a tangent bearing of S.220
15' E., having a radius of 200.00 feet and a central
angle of 240 10' 30", for a distance of 84.39 feet
to a point on a reverse curve, (said point having a
common radial bearing of N. 880 04' 30" W.) i thence
along a reverse curve to the left, having a radius
of 18.04 feet and a central angle of 910 09' 20", a
distance of 28.70 feeti thence S. 890 13' 50" E. 8.83
feet to the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 0.020 acre parcel of land (887.72
square feet) ".

WHEREAS, due to a change in the location of said Wayland
Lane at its approach to First Street it is no longer necessary
that the said described parcel of land constitute a portion of
said Wayland Lane and the said described portion of said Way-
land Lane should be abandoned and vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Council of the City of Gilroy does hereby declare
its intention to vacate the said portion of Wayland Lan~ a
public street in the City of Gilroy, hereinabove described,
and be it further resolved that this resolution shall be pub~
lished and said portion of said street above described be
posted as required in the Street Vacation Act of 1941, under
which this proceeding is instituted, and the 7th day of~'1 0 } - 1
1962, at 8 o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers in the City
Hall, No. 10 South Rosanna Street in the City of Gilroy, County
of Santa Clara, State of California shall be and is hereby
designated as the time and place at which said Council shall
here any and all persons interested in or who may object to
the proposed vacation, and that one publication of this re~
solution shall be made in the Gilroy Evening Dispatch, a news~
paper published in the City of Gilroy, at a date at least ten
(10) days prior to the said time of hearing.
