RESOLUTION OF ClTY COUNClL ADOPTING BUDGET FOR SAID CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR
1962-1963 AND APPROPR[ATlNG PROPOSED EXPENDlTURES FOR PURPOSES SET FORTH
I N BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submitted to
the City Council a budget for the City of Gi lroy for the fiscal year
1962-1963 and said Council has carefully examined and considered the
same and caused certain changes to be made therein before adopting the
same, and
WHEREAS, the sa i d Counc i 1 did thereafter fix the 29th " day of
~~ at the hour of 8:00 p.m. as the time, and the Council Chambers in
the City Hall, Gilroy, California, as the place, for a public hearing
on said proposed budget and caused a notice thereof to be published not
less than 10 days prior to the hearing in the Gilroy Evening Dispatch in
accordance with Section 1102 of the City Charter and had copies of said
proposed budget available for inspection by the public in the office of
the City Clerk at least 10 days prior to said hearing, and
WHEREAS, said publ ic hearing has been held at the time and place
as hereinbefore fixed and as advertised and no one appearing at said
hearing to object to or oppose any part or item of said proposed budget,
and
WHEREAS, the Council did after the conclusion of said public hear-
ing further consider the said proposed budget and made certain revisions
therein without increasing the total proposed expenditures beyond the an-
ticipated revenues and surpluses for said fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, the said proposed budget as finally revised provides for

anticipated revenues totaling $ 627,473.00
, besides actual unexpended
balances existing in various funds on June 30, 1962, amounting to
$ 391,858.00
, and anticipated expenditures totaling $ 626,391.00
and said budget is now before the Council for adoption and said Council is

satisfied with said budget as finally revised,
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered that said
proposed budget as revised be and the same is hereby adopted as the budget
of the City of Gi lroy for the fiscal year 1962-1963 and that a certified
copy of said adopted budget shall be placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk and be available for public inspection and that other copies
thereof be made available for the individuals and agencies and organlza-
tions as specified in Section 1103 of the Charter, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that from the effective date of the budget,
the several amounts stated therein as proposed expenditures shall be and
become appropriated to the several offices, agencies and departments for
the respective objects and purposes therein specified.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1962, by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Duffin,Goodrich,Jordan,Petersen,Quartiro1i,
Wentworth, and Sanchez.
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
