PORTIOL-J OF 1iJ1<;LBURN }\VENUE, H.ERE- TOFORE 1\ PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF GILROY ~'mICH HAS BEEN ABANDONED AND VACATED BY AC'rION OF THE COUNCIL. \'ffiEREAS, the following described premises heretofore consti tuted a portion of ,.,;relburn .l\venue, a public street in the City of Gilroy, to wit: BEING a portion of Welburn Avenue as shown on map entitled "Tract No. 1784, Sherwood Park, Unit No.1", which map is recorded in Book 71 of Maps at pages 28 and 29, Records of Santa Clara County, California, and being more particularly described as follows: "BEGINNING at a point in the northwesterly line of \iVe1burn ?\venue as shown on said map, distant thereon s. 700 W. 52.14 feet from the intersection thereof with the southwesterly line of Doris Court, and running thence along the southerly line of Lots 63 and 64 along a curve to the right with a radius of 100.00 feet and a central angle of 200 45', for a distance of 36.22 feet; thence N. 890 IS' W. 120.69 feet; thence along a curve to the right with a radius of 20.00 feet and a central angle of 770 00', for a distance of 23.39 feet to a point in the northeasterly line of wayland Lane; thence along a projection of the northeasterly line of Wayland Lane as shown on said map S. 220 IS' E. 42.99 feet; thence along a curve to the left with a radius of 20.00 feet and a central angle of 920 15', for a distance of 32.20 feet to a point in the projected southeasterly line of Welburn Avenue as shown on said map; thence along said southeasterly line ~. 700 E. 137.76 feet to the point of beginning;" and, WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has heretofore initiated and completed proceedings for the abandonment of the said portio~ above described, of said welburn Avenue, and the said premises are no longer a part of We1burn .\venuej and, WHEREAS, the said property is not required by the City of Gilroy for any public purpose because of the relocation of a portion of said Welburn Avenue, and the premises are useless to the City of Gilroy and should be sold and disposed of by the city, and it will be in the public interest to sell the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said real property c - 1 - '7/8 hereinbefore described be sold and that notice of the sale of said real property inviting bids therefor be given by the City Clerk by publication thereof, at least once a week for two weeks in the Gilroy Evening Dispatch, said publication to be at seven-day intervals, and the time on or after which the sale will be made as stated in the notice to be at least fifteen days from and after the first publication of the notice.
