RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 19
RESOLUTION OF THE GILROY CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR CRHlINAL JUSTICE PLAN-
NING AND ADMINISTRATION WITH ELEVEN OTHER SANTACLABA COUNTY
CITIES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gilroy has re-
viewed the Joint Powers Agreement for Criminal Justice Planning
and Administration, dated March 2, 1979; and
tVHEREAS, the City of Gilroy desires to obtain grants of
money in the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration Program
(LEAA); and
WHEREAS, the Office of Criminal Justice Planning requests
that the applications for LEAA grants be made only after projects
have been jointly selected by the cities with administrative
support services provided by the County of Santa Clara.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Gilroy City Council
that the Joint Powers Agreement for Criminal Justice Planning and
Administration, dated Harch 2, 1979, with participation from
twelve (12) cities of Santa Clara County named therein be approved
and City of Gilroy officials be authorized to execute same on be-
half of the City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of March, 1979, by the
