"?"'- -0/, RESOLUTION NO. 79-37 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ESTABLISHING A REVISED SCHEDULE OF CHARGES FOR CERTAIN SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE GILROY POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS NOT CONCElU\fED WITH THE ADMINISTRATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE WHEREAS, there has been a substantial increase in the cost of time and material on the part of the City of Gilroy in performing the following services; and, Wllli RE AS , the Police Chief has recommended the following charges based on actual costs to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a fee of Five Dollars ($5.00) be collected by the Gilroy Police Department in addition to state charges, for the taking of each set of fingerprints prepareu for, or at the request of any person other than 1. A person fingerprinted in connection with an arrest or a crime; or, 2. An applicant for City employment or for a City license or permit where fingerprinting is required as one of the conditions; or, 3. An employee or officer ,of the government of the United States or the State of California, or of the Gilroy Unified School District, or Gavi1an College, when required in connection with his employment; or 4. In connection with military service for the government of the United States or the State of California; or, 5. In connection with immigration or naturalization. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a fee of Eight Dollars ($8.00) be collected for the first copy of a photograph taken by the Police Department in the investigation of an incident and a fee of One Dollar ($1.00) be collected for each additional print there0f requested at the same time by any person other than any officer or employee of a public agency concerned in the Administration of Criminal Justice. RESOLUTION 79-37 -1- " '! .' . . , BE IT FURTlillR RESOLVED, that a fee of Three Dollars and Fifty Cents ($3.50) be collected for e~ch one and two page accident or other police report, with an additional Fifty Cents ($0.50) for each additional page thereafter, to be collected when the copy of a report is requested by a person other than an officer or employee of a public agency concerned in the Administration of Criminal Justice. Nothing in the resolution shall prohibit any person who would otherwise be allowed access to such report from viewing such report at no expense to him. BE IT FURTHER P~SOLVED, that a fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) be collected from the alarm company for each terminal used on the burglar alarm panel at the Gilroy Police Station. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) be co1le~ted for each taxi driver permit. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each clearance letter be collected. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) be collected for each tear gas permit. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that actual costs up to the maximum allowed by the state be collected for each concealed weapon permit. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Resolution 1141 is hereby rescinded. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon its adoption.
