RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 48
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ADOPTING
THE BUDGET FOR SAID CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 1979~1980 AND APPRO-
PRIATING PROPOSED EXPENDITURES FOR PURPOSES SET FORTH IN BUD-
GET.
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submit-
ted to the City Council a budget for the City of Gilroy for the
fiscal year 1979-1980 and said Council has carefully examined
and considered the same, and;
WHEREAS, the said Council did thereafter fix the 18th
day of June, 1979, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. as the time,
at the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California, as the time and place for a Public Hearing on
said proposed budget and caused a notice thereof to be published
not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing, in the Gilroy
Dispatch in accordance with Section 1102 of the City Charter and
had copies of said proposed budget available for inspection by
the public in the office of the City Clerk at least ten (10) days
prior to the said hearing, and;
WHEREAS, the said proposed budget as finally revised pro-
vides for anticipated revenue totalling $12,925,641.00 besides
anticipated unexpended balances existing in various funds on June
30, 1979, amount to $5,789,978.00 and anticipated expenditures
totalling $15,620,791.00 and said budget is now before the Council
for adoption and said Council is satisfied with said budget as
finally revised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is rereby ordered
that said proposed budget as revised be and the same is hereby
adopted as the budget of the City of Gilroy for the fiscal year
1979-1980 and that a certified copy of said adopted budget shall

be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk and be avail-
able for the individuals and agencies and organizations as speci-
fied in Section ll03 of the Charter, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that from the effective dateof
the budget, the several amounts stated therein as proposed ex-
penditures shall be and become appropriate~ to t~e several of-
fices, agencies and departments for the resnective objects and
purpose therein specified.
