RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 56
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRA1~ING FROM THE
GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GILROY ill'JDER THE DESIGNATION "PACHECO PASS ANNEXATION 79-3
TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 16th day of July,
1979, been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of
'-'EACHECO PASS ANNEXATION 79-3 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following
described property located in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California to wit:
BEING a portion of Las Animas ~anch Lot 44 as shown on
Hap No. 7 accompanying the Final Report of the Referees
in the Las Animas Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536
had in the Superior Court of the State of California, in
and for the County of Santa Clara, and being more particu-
larly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southwesterly corner of Pacheco Pass
Annexation 76-2 to the City of Gilroy as described in
Ordinance No. 76-11 of said City adopted July 19, 1976,
in the line common to Ranch Lots 43 and 44 as shown on
said Map No.7, said point of beginning being also the
most easterly corner of that certain parcel of land
conveyed to the State of California by Josie Fazio,
et aI, by deed recorded July l2, 1967 in Volume 7680
at page 394, Official Records of Santa Clara County,
and running thence alonE said lands conveyed to the
State of California northwesterly along a curve to the
right with a radius of 347.00 feet, from a tangent
bearing of N. 770 58' 37" 1.1]., through a central angle
of 550 12' l3" for a distance of 344.33 feet; thence
N. 220 46' 24" ~l. 135.36 feet to an intersection with
the southeasterly line of Pacheco Pass-Ninth Street
Annexation to the City of Gilroy as described in
Resolution No. 1041 of said City adopted July 15. 1966;
thence along said southeasterly line N. 700 41' 10" E.
163.22 feet to the most westerly corner of Pacheco Pass
Annexation 70-6 to the City of Gilroy as desdribed in
Ordinance No. 888 of said City adopted June 15, 1970;
thence along the southwesterly line of said annexation
S. 500 43' 47" E. 129.51 feet; thence along a tangent
curve to the left with a radius of 217.80 feet, through
a central angle of 150 21' for a distance of 58.35 feet
to the most northerly corner of said Pacheco Pass Annexa-
tion 76-2; thence along the westerly line of Pacheco
Pass Annexation 76-2 and the line common to Ranch Lots
43 and 44 S. 00 48' W. 271.43 feet to the point of
beginning, and .
CONTAINING THEREIN 1.656 acres of land more or less, and

l~EREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were
at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the
Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy de-
sires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire pro-
tection district.
NOW, THEP~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory herein-
before described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "PACHECO PASS
ANNEXATION 79-3 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby "'7ith-
drawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of July, 1979, by the
following vote:
