RESOLUTION NO. 79-63
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING
GILROY GARLIC FESTIVAL I.
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Garlic Festival Committee, the Chamber
of Commerce, local businesses, and residents joined forces to make
Gilroy Garlic Festival I, August 4th and 5th, 1979, a resounding
success; and
WHEREAS, the Committee, their families and friends worked
untold and extended hours toward this goal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council
hereby takes this opportunity to extend the City's commendations
to the Gilroy Garlic Committee for their outstanding efforts in
providing our community with this outstanding successful social event.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we extend our best wishes to the
Committee for a continued and growing success with each Garlic Festival
and all of your community undertakings.
