RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 65
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILP"OY \HTHDRAHING FROM THE
GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "SE\\1ER FAR..M NO. 5 ANNEXATION
79-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
~lliEREAS, there has heretofore and on the
6th
day of
August
, 1979 been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the
designation of "SEWER FARM NO. 5 ANNEXATION 79-4 TO THE CITY 01<' GILROY"
the following described property located in the County of Santa Clara,
State of California to wit:
PARCEL ONE
BEING a nortion of Lot 1 as shown on the man of the
Thomas Rea Subdivision of Las Animas Ranchl~t 53 re-
corded in Book "F" of Maps at page 24, Records of
Santa Clara County, California, and being more nar-
ticularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of said
Lot 1, being the most Vlesterly corner of "Sewer
Farm No.3 Annexation 70-13 to the City of Gilroy",
as described in Resolution of the Board of Super-
visors of Santa Clara County adopted April l4~
1971, and running thence along the boundaries of
said Lot 1 and said Annexation S. 320 15' E. 232.32
feet and N. 570 45' E. 66.00 feet to the most eas-
terly corner of said Annexation in the southwester-
ly line of "Sewer Farm No. 1 Annexation to the City
of Gilroy" as described in Ordinance No. 616 of
said City adopted November 10, 1959; thence along
said southwesterly line S. 320 l5' E. 817.90 feet
to the easterly common corner to Lots 1 and 2 as
shown on said subdivision map; thence along the
line common to Lots 1 and 2 S. 720 00' 50" H.
659.33 feet; thence leaving said line N. 320 15' W.
1033.44 feet to a point in the northwesterly line
of said Lot 1; thence along saic northwesterly line
N. 720 00' 50" E. 591.23 feet to the point of begin-
ning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 14.821 acres.
PARCEL TWO
BEING a portion of Lot 23 as shown on the map of the "E't'1J'1A
REA-LOUPE SUBDIVISION", filed for record in Book "0" of
Maps at page 47, Records of Santa Clara County, California,
and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of Las Animas
Ranchlot 51 as shown on Map no. 7 accompaning the

Final Report of the Referees in the Las Animas
Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536 had in the
Superior Court of the State of California, in and
for the County of Santa Clara, being also the most
southerly corner of "Sewer Farm No. 1 Annexation
to the City of Gilroy" as described in Ordinance
No. 616 of said City adopted November 10, 1959, and
running thence S. 320 13' E. 66.26 feet to a point
in the southeasterly line of said Lot 23; thence
following the boundary of Lot 23 N. 540 50' E.
950.72 feet, S. 350 12' E. 1489.55 feet and N. 460
30' E. 1137.84 feet to the most easterly corner to
Lot 23 in the southwesterly line of "Sewer Farm No.
4 75-3 Annexation to the City of Gilroy" as descri-
bed in Resolution of the Board of Sunervisors of
Santa Clara County adopted June 18, 1975; thence
along the southwesterly line of said Annexation N.
350 12' W. 1390.62 feet to the most westerly corner
thereof in the southeasterly line of said Sewer
Farm No.1 Annexation; thence along said southeas-
terly line S. 540 50' W. 2073.19 feet to the point
of beginning, and'
CONTAINING THEREIN 39.5 acres;
TOTAL area of Parcel One and Parcel Two CONTAINING THEREIN
54.321 acres of land more or less, and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were
at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the
Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy de-
sires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire pro-
tection district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory herein-
before described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "Sm'YER FAHN
NO. 5 ANNEXATION 79-4 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby
withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
