RESOLUTION NO. 79-82
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
DESIGNATING THROUGH STREETS WITHIN THE CITY
Upon recommendation by the Director of Public Works
and good cause appearing therefor,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY, pursuant to Section 15.43 of the Gilroy City Code, that
the following streets are hereby designated as through streets:
1. Carmel Street, from First Street to Sixth Street.
2. Chestnut Street, from Sixth Street to Luchessa
Avenue except at Old Gilroy Street and Tenth Street.
3. Church Street, from the north city limits to the
south city limits except at Wel1bum Avenue, First Street,
Sixth Street and Tenth Street.
4. First Street, from Monterey Street to the westerly
city limits except at Church Street, Miller Avenue, Wren Avenue
and Westwood Drive
5. Forest Street, from I.O.O.F. Avenue to Old Gilroy
Street except at Sixth Street.

7. Leavesley Road, from Monterey Street to the east
city limits except at the South Valley Freeway Interchange.
8. Luchessa Avenue, from Monterey Street to the east

22. Wren Avenue, from First Street to the north city
limits, except at Welburn Avenue.
23. Westwood Drive, from First Street to its southern
terminus except at Third Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 19]9, to become
effective on October 31, 1979, by the following vote:
