RESOLUTION NO. 79-98
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
RESCINDING ITS RESOLUTION NO. 78-88 AND REAFFIP~NG
ITS RESOLUTION NO. 78-89 MODIFYING URBAN SERVICE AREAS.
WHEREAS, the Council has been advised by staff that the
acreage described for inclusion in the Urban Service Area for 1978
might have been considered excessive thus leading to continuance
of the matter by the Local Agency Formation Commission, and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to expedite the consideration
of modifications outside the City of GilroYi
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Gilroy does hereby rescind its Resolution No. 78-88 de-
scribing 520.77 acres for the Urban Service Area within the City,
and does hereby reaffirm its Resolution No. 78-89 describing
386.34 acres for the Urban Service Area within the County of
Santa Clara.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council does hereby
urge early consideration of the inclusion of said 386.34 acres
within the Urban Service Area now that the revised Gilroy General
Plan has been completed and adopted.
