RESOLUTION NO. 79-ll0A
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH
THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION C0M11ISSION FOR ALLOCATION
OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT A.CT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR
1979-80.
~mEREAS, the Transportation Development Act of 1971 provides
for the disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation Fund
of the County of Santa Clara for use by eligible claimants for the
purpose of Uvas Park Drive Bicycle Pathway Project; and
~mEREAS, pursuant to the rules and regulations that have
been adopted by the Secretary of the Business and Transportation
Agency of the State of California in accordance with the provisions
of the aforementioned legislation, an eligible claimant wishing
to receive an allocation from the Local TransDortation Fund shall

file its application with the appropriate transportation planning
agency; and
~mEREAS, funds from the Local Transportation Fund will be
required to complete construction of Phase II of said Bicycle
Pathway along Uvas Park Drive.
NOW, TllliREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City of Gilroy that
the City Administrator is authorized to execute and file an appro-
priate claim pursuant to the terms of the Transportation Development
Act of 1971, as amended, and pursuant to applicable rules and
regulations promulgated thereunder, together will all necessary
supporting documents, with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission,
for fiscal year 1979-80 Transportation Development Act monies; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in
conjunction with the filing of the claim; and the Metropolitan
Transportation Commission be requested to concur in these findings
and grant the allocation of funds as specified herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of December, 1979, by the
