RESOLUTION NO. 81-22
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ALTERATIONS OF THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF GILROY BY THE ANNEXATION
THERETO OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED
AS "SANTA TERESA ANNEXATION 80-5 TO THE CITY OF GILROY"
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Gilroy in accordance with the pro-
visions of the "Municipal Organization Act of 1977tt, asking that
there be annexed to the City of Gilroy certain uninhabited territory
located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, herein-
after more particularly described; and
~iEREAS, said petition has been signed and consented to
by the owners of all of the land in the territory proposed to be
annexed and said territory is contiguous to the City of Gilroy; and
WHEREAS, an application for annexation of the said premises
has been filed with the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission, and said Commission did make its determination upon the
proposed annexation, and has approved and authorized said annexation
as proposed pursuant to section 35157 of the Government Code; and
~lEREAS, pursuant to Section 35151 of the Government Code
the territory is to be annexed without notice and hearing, and without
an election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: Under the authority of the said "Municipal
Organization Act of 1977", and Section 35221 of the Government Code

of the State of California, there is hereby annexed to the City
of Gilroy the uninhabited territory particularly described as
follows:
BEING a portiun of Las Animas Ranchlot 11 as shown on Map No. 7
accompanying the Final Report of the Referees in,the Las Animas
Partition Suit, Action No. 5536. had in the Superior Court of
th~ State of California, in and for the County of Santa Clara,
and being more particularly described as follows:

BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of tlMiller
Avenue Annexa t ion. No. l, to the Ci ty of Gilroy" as
described in OrJinance No.74-2 of said City adopted
June 9, 1965. said point of beginning being also the
nlost suutherly curner of the Lands of the City of
Gilroy as shown on Record of Survey Map filed for
record in Buok 147 of Maps at page 121, Records of
Santa Clara County, and running thence along the
centerline of Miller Av~nue and the boundary of said
annexation N.So02IE. 98.22 feet and N.35002'E.
532.96 feet; thence kaving said Centerline along
the boundaries uf said annexation N.54-58.W.

to an intersection with the line cummon to Ranchlots
11 and 16 as shown on said ~~p No.7, being also the
most southl"rly curner of "Miller Avenue Annexation 76-5
to the City of Gilroy" as described in Ordinance
No. 77-10 of said City adupted March 3, 1977; thence
running northwesterly along the southwesterly line of
said "Miller Avenue Annexation 76-5 to the City of
Gilroy" and the line cummon to Ranchlots 11 and 16 to
the most westerly corner thereof at the suutherly

Section II: The said territory hereby annexed to the City
of Gilroy is hereby designated as "SANTA TERESA ANNEXATION SO-5 TO
TIlE CITY OF GILROY".
Section III: This annexation shall take effect on the
date of the recordation of a certified copy of the certificate of
