RESOLUTION NO. 81- 29
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRA~TING FROM
THE SOUTH SANTA CLARA COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN
RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY IJNDER THE DESIGNATION
"SANTA TERESA ANNEXATION 80-5 TO THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 16th day of
March, 1981, been annexed to the City of Gilroy the following des-
cribed property located in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California to wit:
BEING a portion of Las Animas Ranch10t 11 as shown on Map
No. 7 accompanying the Final Report of the Referees in the
Las Animas Partition Suit, Action No. 5536, had in the
Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the
County of Santa Clara, and being more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of "Hiller
Avenue Annexation, No.1, to the City of Gilroy" as
described in Ordinance No. 74-2 of said City adopted
June 9, 1965, said point of beginning being" also the
most southerly corner of the Lands of the City of
Gilroy as shown on Record of Survey Map filed for
record in Book 147 of Maps at page 121, Records of
Santa Clara County, and running thence along the
centerline of Miller Avenue and the boundary of said
annexation N. 50 02' E. 98.22 feet and N. 350 02t E.
532.96 feet; thence leaving said Centerline along the
boundaries of said annexation N. 540 58' W. 230.00
feet, N. 350 02' E. 334.97 feet, N. 290 17' E. 133.23
feet and N. 240 57' E. 57.90 feet, more or less, to
an intersection with the line common to Ranch10ts 11
and 16 as shown on said Map No.7, being also the
most southerly corner of "Miller Avenue Annexation
76-5 to the City of Gilroy" as described in Ordinance
No. 77-10 of said City adopted March 3, 1977; thence
running northwesterly along the southwesterly line of
said "Miller Avenue Annexation 76-5 to the City of
Gilroy" and the line common to Ranch10ts 11 and 16 to
the most westerly corner thereof at the southerly com-
mon corner to Ranch10ts 16 and 22 as shown on said Map
No.7, being also the most southerly corner of the
"Sixth Western Addition to the City of Gilroy" as des-
cribed in Ordinance No. 694 of said City adopted March
7, 1977; thence northwesterly along the southwesterly
line of said annexation to most southwesterly corner
thereof, being also the most southeasterly corner of
"Southwest Annexation 65-1" to the City of Gilroy, as
described in Resolution No. 951 of said City adopted
August 4, 1965; thence northwesterly along the south-
westerly line thereof to the most southwesterly corner
thereof, being also the southeasterly corner of "Hecker
Pass Annexation 77-9 to the City of Gilroy" as described

in Resolution No. 77-9 of said. City adopted March
20, 1978; thence northwesterly along the southwester-
ly line thereof to the southwesterly corner of "Hecker
Pass-Morey Avenue Annexation 66-1 to the City of Gil-
roy" as described in Resolution No. 1013 of said City
adopted May 4, 1966; thence westerly along the souther-
ly line thereof to an intersection with the easterly line
of Santa Teresa Expressway as shown on Record of Survey
Map filed for Record in Book 264 of Maps at pages 27 and
28, Records of Santa Clara County; thence leaving said
City Limits Line along the easterly line of Santa Teresa
Expressway as shown on said map S. 40 56' 15" W. 57.52
feet; thence along a southerly line thereof N. 850 03t
45" W. 130.00 feet; thence along the northeasterly line
of Santa Teresa Expressway as shown on said Map, along
a curve to left with a radius of 1430.00 feet, from a
tangent bearing of S. 40 56' 15" W., through a central
angle of 270 58t 30" for a distance of 698.21 feet; thence
S. 230 02t 15" E. 690.00 feet to the most westerly corner
of the Land of Gilroy lmified School District; thence
along the boundary of Gilroy Unified School District N.
660 57t 45" E. 702.58 feet; thence S. 230 02' 15" E. 620.00
feet; thence S. 660 57' 45" W. 702.58 feet to the easterly
line of Santa Teresa Expressway as shown on the above
referred Record of Survey Map filed for Record in Book
264 of Haps at pages 27 and 28; thence along said easterly
line S. 230 02t 15" E. 546.16 feet the most westerly cor-
ner of Lands of the County of Santa Clara, being a parcel
of land designated "FF" on said map; thence along the
boundaries of said Parcel N. 660 57t 4.5" E. 170.00 feet
and S. 70 18' 21" W. 277.13 feet to the most southerly
corner thereof in the northeasterly line of Santa Teresa

Expressway as shown on said map; thence southeasterly
along the northeasterly line of Santa Teresa Expressway,
as shown on said map S. 230 02t 15" E. 310.84 feet, S.
660 57" 45" W. 10.00 feet, S. 220 l2t 16" E. 1375.80 feet,
S. 260 36t 50" E. 320.62 feet, S 320 51' 03" E. 290.16
feet and S. 420 58t 22" E. 324.50 feet, more or less, to
the most westerly corner of that certain 61.815 acre par-
cel of land shown as Parcel 1 on Record of Survey Map-
filed for record in Book 211 of Maps at page 53, Records
of Santa Clara County; thence leaving said northeasterly
line of Santa Teresa Expressway along the westerly line
of said 61.815 acre parcel S. 710 06' 54" E. 44.87 feet;
N. 160 41' 25" E. 854.01 feet; N. 770 29' 33" E. 1004.12
feet; N. 810 35t 09" E. 292.76 feet to the most northerly
corner of said 61.815 acre parcel said point being in the
westerly line of Miller Avenue; thence crossing Miller
Avenue N. 810 35t 09" E. 48.99 feet, more or less, to a
point in the present easterly line of Miller Avenue; thence
northerly along the easterly line of Miller Avenue to the
intersection with the southerly line of "l-Hller Avenue
Annexation No.1 to the City of Gilroy", first above refer-
red to; thence along said southerly line N. 880 02t W.

20.15 feet to the centerline of Miller Avenue and
the point of beginning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 223 acres of land, more or less, and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at
the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the
South Santa Clara County Fire District, and the Council of the City
of Gilroy desires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from
the said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore
described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "SANTA TERESA
ANNEXATION 80-5 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby
withdrawn from said South Santa Clara County Fire District.
