RESOLUTION NOo 81-50
A RESOLUTION OF THE 'CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY PURSUANT TO DIRECTION BY SANTA CLARA COUNTY
LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION WITH REGARD TO A
REORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE DISTRICT REORGANIZATION
ACT OF 1965 DESIGNATED AS MANTELLI REORGANIZATION 81-1
OF THE CITY OF GILROY.
BE IT RESOLVED AND FOUND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY, as follows:
1. That the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission, in accordance with the District Reorganization Act
of 1965, has done all things as indicated in its Resolution
No. 81-48.
2. That the City of Gilroy was duly designated the con-
ducting agency for further proceedings to reorganize the territory
described in said Resolution No. 81-48 and Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein.
3. That the City Council, as conducting agency, has also
duly performed the following:
a. The Council has initiated and completed reorgani-
zation proceedings.
b. This proceeding for reorganization is designated
as MANTELLI REORGANIZATION 81-1.
c. The territory described in Exhibit "A" hereto is
ordered reorganized and is organized to include
the following changes of 9rganization:
i. Annexation to the City of Gilroy,
ii. Detachment from the South Santa
Clara County Fire District.
d. The City of Gilroy, as conducting agency, reorganized
such territory as indicated above without notice of
hearing and without election, it being found and

concurred in that the territory described
in Exhibit "A" is uninhabited.
4. That the herein described reorganization and each of
the actions of the City of Gilroy herein described were in full
accordance with the District Reorganization Act of 1965, Govern-
ment Code Section 56322 which is part thereof, and the terms and
conditions set forth in Resolution Noo 81-48 of the Santa Clara
County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of May, 1981,

BEING a portion of the Solis Rancho in Santa Clara County,
California, "s patented, and being more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNIUG at the northwesterly corner of "Mantelli
Annexation No. 2 70-14" to the City of Gilroy as
descr ibt:d in Ord inance No. 917 of said Ci ty adopted
April 20, 1971 and running thence along the westerly
line of said Annexation 5.10l0'22"E. 749.09 feet
to a northeasterly corner of "Mantelli Annexation 75-1"
to the City of Gilroy as described in Ordinance No. 75-2
adopted March l7, 1975; thence along the boundaries of
said Annexation 5.89050'W. 274.64 feet, N.OolO'W.
293.22 feet, N.89050'E. 54.00 feet, N.OoIO'W. 236.00 feet,
S.89050'W. 196.00 feet, S.OolO'E. 236.00 feet,
N.89050'E. 111.00 feet and S.oolO'E. 316.98 feet, more
or less, to the southwesterly corner of said "Mantelli

S.P. Fine in the Solis Rancho, Santa Clara County,
California", which map is filed for record in Book "F-2"
of Maps at page 46, Records of Santa Clara County;

414.68 feet, more or less to an intersection with the
southerly prolongation of the westerly line of that
certain 22.2 acre parcel of land conveyed to Maitland
Alfred Chappell, et ux, recorded January 7, 1958 in
Book 3976 at page 457, Official Records of Santa Clara
County; thence along said prolongation and westerly
line N.lolO'W. 702.21 feet, more or less, to the north-
westerly corner of said 22.2 acre parcel being also a
southwesterly corner of "Northwest Annexation 65-1"
to the City of Gilroy as described in Resolution No. 959
of said City adopted September 15, 1965; thence along
the northerly line of said 22.2 acre parcel and the
southerly line of said "Northwest Annexation 65-1"
N.840191E. 735.90 feet to the point of beginning,
