RESOLUTION NO. 81-67
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ADOPTING THE BUDGET
FOR SAID CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 1981-1982 AND APPROPRIATING PROPOSED EXPEND-
TURES FOR PURPOSES SET FORTH IN BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submitted to
the City Council a budget for the City of Gilroy for the fiscal year
1981-1982, and said Council has carefully examined and considered the
same; and
WHEREAS, the said Council did thereafter fix the 15th day of
June, 1981, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. as the time, at the Council
Chambers in the City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California,
as the time and place for a Public Hearing on said proposed budget and
caused a notice thereof to be published not less than ten (10) days
prior to the hearing, in the Gilroy Dispatch in accordance with Section
1102 of the City Charter and had copies of said proposed budget available
for inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk at least
ten (10) days prior to the said hearing; and
WHEREAS, the said proposed budget as finally revised provides
for anticipated revenue totalling $12,100,620.00 besides anticipated
unexpended balances existing in various funds on June 30, 1981, amounting
to $7,575,992.00 and anticipated expenditures totalling $13,762,224.00
and said budget is now before the Council for adoption and said Council
1S satisfied with said budget as finally revised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered that
said proposed budget including the anticipated revenues, expenditures
and unappropriated surpluses, as revised, be and the same is hereby
appropriated and adopted as the budget of the City of Gilroy for the
fiscal year 1981-1982 and that a certified copy of said adopted budget
shall be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk and be available
for the individuals and agenc1es and organizations as specified in
Section 1103 of the Charter; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from the effective date of the
budget, the several amounts stated therein as proposed expenditures
shall be and become appropriated to the several offices, agencies and
departments for the respective objects and purpose therein specified.
