RESOLUTION NO. 81 - 92
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING APPROVAL OF THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, DEPART}lliNT OF TR1L~SPORTATION, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS
TO PERMIT A PARADE WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEP~AS, the City of Gilroy is requesting to hold a parade
on October 23, 1981 at 3:15 o'clock p.m., along the following
route:
The parade route, as proposed will line-up at 2:40 p. m.
at the Gilroy High School on Princeva11e Street, then
proceed on Tenth Street to Monterey Street to First
Street (Route l52)to Westwood Drive, then proceed onto
Third Street, then on Miller Avenue, to Sixth Street
and terminate south on Princeva11e Street to the Gilroy
High School at approximately 4:15 p.rn; and
\ffiEREAS, the Gilroy Chief of Police shall assume the res-
ponsibi1ity of traffic control during this event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved this parade and
routing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy
hereby and respectively requests the permission of the State of
California, Department of Transportation, Division of HIghways,
to allow this parade.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 1981, by the
following vote:

GOODRICH.
COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
