RESOLUTION NO. 82 - 65
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF
CALIFOro~IA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS TO
PERMIT A PARADE WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy is requesting to hold a parade on
May 16, 1982 at 10:00 o'clock a.m., along the following route:
The parade route, as proposed will line-up at 10:00
a.m. in the 7200 blocks on Forest Street and proceed
from Forest Street and Old Gilroy Street west onto
Seventh Street to Eigleberry Street thence north to
First Street (Route 152) into St. Mary's Church, ter-
minating at the point of beginning at approximately
2:00 o'clock p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Gilroy Chief of Police shall assume the respon-
sibi1ity of traffic control during this event; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved this parade and routing.
NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy hereby
and respectively requests the permission of the State of California,
Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, to allow this
parade.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 1982, by the following
vote:
