RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING RATES FOR SANITARY SEWER SERVICE AND WATER
SERVICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY,
CALIFORNIA, that pursuant to the provisions of Gilroy City Code
section 19.79, the City Council does hereby establish the follow-
ing rates for Sanitary Sewer Service to become effective July 20,
1982:
1. Residential Users will pay flat rates as follows:
Single Family Residences
Multi-Family Res. Units
Mobile Home Park Units
$5.25/mo.
3.70/mo.
3.70/mo.
2. Commercial and Institutional users will pay rates based
on water consumption as follows:
Assembly Halls and Churches
Auto Dealers, Repair, Body Shops
and Service Stations
Car Washes
Bakeries
Department & Retail Stores
Food Processors
Groceries
Hotels with Restaurants
Hotels & Motels (No food)
Hospitals & Convalescent Homes
Commercial Laundries
Laundromats & Laundry Rooms
Mortuaries
Paper Container Manufacturers
Professional offices
Restaurants
Schools (See text for water
consumption)
Miscellaneous Users

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the provisions of
Gilroy City Code sections 27.42 and 27.50, the City Council does
hereby establish the following rates for Water Service to become
effective July 20, 1982:

1. Rates under Section 27.42 for metered service in the
city shall be the following Base Rates plus $0.45 per 1,000 gallons
or fraction thereof used per month.

Rates for larger meters will be established by the Finance
Department as necessary.
2. Rates under Section 27.50 for metered service outside the
city shall be double the rates charged in the city under Section 27.42.
