RESOLUTION NO. 83-1
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AFFIRMING ON APPEAL RESOLUTION NO. 82-57 OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION DENYING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW
EXCESS AREA AND HEIGHT FOR A FREESTANDING SIGN AT
360 LEAVESLEY ROAD
WHEREAS, JOHN E. PETERSON has filed an appeal in due form
from Resolution No. 82-57 of the Planning Commission of the City
of Gilroy denying a variance to allow excess area and height
for a freestanding sign at 360 Leavesley Road, and notice of
the hearing of said appeal has been given in the manner required
by law and the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy; and
WHEREAS, the said hearing on the appeal has been held on
January 3, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, and evidence
was submitted upon the said application and appeal from the
findings of the Planning Commission, the City Council finds:
(1) The findings of the Planning Commission are hereby
approved; and
(2) The Planning Commission did not err in denying the
variance.
THEliliFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 82-57 of the
Planning Commission is hereby affirmed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 1983, by the
following vote:
