RESOLUTION NO. 83-19
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A THIRTY-FIVE
FOOT ONE-HALF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AND PORTION OF
PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT ON BREM LANE
WHEREAS, that unnamed .35 foot street right of way and
public service eas~ent running east from Brem Lane at the
north boundary of the Woolworth property in the City of Gilroy
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
purposes and should be vacated, but that public convenience and
necessity require the reservation of an easement for public
utility facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Gilroy that it does hereby declare its intention to
vacate the 35 foot street right of way and public service easement
running east from Brem Lane at the north boundary of the
Woolworth property, as is precisely shown on a map on file
in the Department of Public Works, reserving to the City an
easement for public utility facilities as set forth in Streets
and Highways Code Section 8340.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be
published and said street posted as required in the Public Streets,
Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law under which this
proceeding is instituted, and the 4th day of April, 1983 at
8:00 o'clock p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be
heard, in the Council Chambers. City Hall, 7351 Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California, is hereby designated as the time and place
at which said City Council shall hear any and all persons
interested in or who may object to the proposed vacation.

One publication of said notice shall be made in the
Gilroy Dispatch, a newspaper published in the City of Gilroy,
at a date at least ten (10) days prior to the time of hearing.
