RESOLUTION NO. 83 - 35
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS TO
PERMIT A PARADE WITHIN THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy is requesting to hold a parade
on June 12, 1983 at 11:00 o'clock a.m., along the following route:
The parade route, as proposed will line-up at 10:00
o'clock a.m. on Eigleberry Street from Tenth Street
to First Street, then at 11:00 o'clock a.m. will pro-
ceed west on First Street (Route 152) to Wren Avenue
at approximately 2:30 p.m.; and
vffiEREAS, the Gilroy Chief of Police shall assume the res-
ponsibility of traffic control during this event; and
Whereas, the City Council has approved this parade and
routing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Gilroy
hereby and respectively requests the permission of the State of
California, Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, to
allow this parade.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April, 1983, by the
